Jackson Healthcare Receives Humanitarian Award for Ongoing Commitment to Serving Communities

ATLANTA, October 5, 2021 — Jackson Healthcare^®, a family of highly specialized healthcare staffing, search and technology companies, today announced that it has received the 2021 Bob Freeman Humanitarian Award. The honor is awarded each year by MedShare, a global humanitarian aid organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people, communities and the planet by reallocating surplus medical supplies. Named for the group’s founder, MedShare presents three awards each year – one to a company, one to a non-profit agency and one to a philanthropist.

Jackson Healthcare has served in partnership with MedShare for over a decade, helping advance the organization’s mission by providing grants and sponsorships, collecting supplies for mission trips, and facilitating opportunities for Jackson Healthcare associates to volunteer onsite and abroad.  The company’s associates have packaged more than 3,000 clean birthing kits as part of two on-campus volunteer events, and as COVID-19 began spreading in early 2020, Jackson Healthcare worked with MedShare to provide more than 45,000 items of critical personal protective equipment (PPE) to frontline workers in more than 240 healthcare facilities across the state of Georgia.
