A free store for those who need it most
When a foster child comes into the system, they lose everything; toys, clothes, schools, and family. In 1996, the Ewalds, a local foster family, decided to make a difference for the 13,000 children in the foster care system experiencing this loss.
Foster Care Support Foundation provides a free “store” for foster families. From strollers and toys to socks and prom dresses, the store helps meet the needs of foster children and their families. In addition to their store, they also provide a mentorship program for teens as they navigate their teen years. The support this organization offers helps to bring the necessities to thousands of foster households each year. With May being National Foster Care month, it’s only fitting we highlight this amazing organization. Watch this video to see the experience for one deserving family.
