Staff Attorney

We work with healthcare organizations big and small to find the right physicians and advanced practitioners to provide quality patient care.

The Staff Attorney primarily involves heavy contract review, drafting and advising business partners regarding the negotiation of key standard and non-standard contracts along with related general business matters. The ability to efficiently triage and turn incoming agreements and non-contractual matters within requested timeframes is critical to the success of this role. Experience with a variety of vendor, service contracts and employment/independent contractor agreements is desired. Experience with temporary staffing industry, generally, and familiarity with healthcare staffing services in particular would be advantageous for this position, as would some experience with government contracts.

Additional Details:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts

  • Support General Counsel in providing advice and counsel to executive leaders with a focus on contracts, general business and operational issues, human resources/employment, and regulatory compliance

  • Advise senior management on legal matters impacting day-to-day business operations

  • Work collaboratively with attorneys and corporate paralegals of affiliated and parent entities

  • Heavy focus on lead contract reviews, including prioritizing response times, collaborating on highlighting potential business risks and contractual terms that are outside corporate policy.

  • Maintain and assist with training associates on company standard templates

  • Work with business teams to collect information and prepare responses to subpoenas

  • Provide support for responses to regulatory inquiries

  • Coordinate legal holds and e-discovery

  • Occasional online research on federal and state statutes and regulations

  • Work with parent entity legal team to create, organize and maintain limited liability companies and professional corporations
